There are many 'myths' created by English dealers because they don't like people
importing cheaper cars from Japan. If you have any queries or concerns about Japanese
imports, the following may help;
How do I know if the car I purchase from an auction is legitimate?
Cars are checked to ensure they are legitimate, i.e. not stolen etc., before
being accepted by an Auction. You only need to be wary if you are buying a car privately.
Is it difficult to get spare parts?
Generally service parts are easy to get but on some models it may be harder to get body
parts. We can either purchase parts for you or you can obtain spare parts from various suppliers in the UK such as
Import Solutions. Click here to visit their web site.

Will I have difficulty finding Insurance?
Some insurance companies make it difficult, however, if you don't have any joy with your
own insurance company, why not try Tesco or Privilege.
We are still being advised by our clients that
Direct Line offer competitive quotes for Pajeros (Shoguns), however, you will require
a Category 1 Alarm and Immobiliser.

Are Japanese cars less safe than UK specification?
Japanese cars are less used than our own and are generally of a higher specification
than a UK model. The Japanese emission standards are higher than the UK, however, you
will need to ensure that the car is fitted with items such as fog lights and that the
tyres meet UK standards. |
